Building AxiomRPG
AxiomRPG is a D6 dice pool TTRPG built on a strict division between core rules and Genre Catalogs.
The core rules are genre-neutral. They define how dice work, how characters are built, how combat resolves, and how advancement functions. These mechanics operate identically whether the setting is a medieval dungeon, a modern city, or a space station.
Genre Catalogs are setting-specific. They provide specific lineages, professions, powers, equipment lists, currency, threats, and all the fiction that make a setting feel distinct. Genre Catalogs plug into the core framework without replacing it.
Core or Catalog: If a mechanic would break or feel wrong in a different genre, it belongs in the Genre Catalog, not the core. Core mechanics should be describable with genre-neutral language at all times.
